When most people make goals, they decide to save up for something that they would like to buy, or perhaps go on a vacation. Lifestyle goals are above and beyond any other goal that you will ever make. When you are writing these down, you are not going to focus on a specific objective, one that you can obtain. You are looking at changing your life as it is from that point on into the future. What Is A Lifestyle Goal?
This is a goal that is going to change every aspect of your life. For example, if you are working at a job that you do not like, and you are living paycheck to paycheck, this is one particular type of lifestyle. However, a much more preferable lifestyle would be one where you have a business that is generating income for you, managed by people other than yourself, allowing you and your family to do what you want without worrying about the cost. These two very contrasted examples will show you why lifestyle goals are so much different than regular goals that people set every day. It essentially represents a complete and total shift of the life you are living now, moving into something that is much more preferable.
How Do You Create Lifestyle Goals?
A lifestyle goal is one that is multifaceted. It usually begins with a picture or image in your mind of what it is that you would like to do with your life. Instead of working 40 hours a week, waiting for the weekend, and hoping for retirement, you may want a lifestyle that gives you total freedom in regard to time and money. The picture that you envision in your mind is one that will make you the happiest, a life that will be carefree, yet also filled with a multitude of activities that you would never be able to do on your present income. There are several different components when you define lifestyle goals that you need to consider. First of all, there is your physical health. You need to see yourself working out, getting into shape, and in doing so definitively helping yourself live a much longer and healthier life. You may have mental goals such as reading more, going back to school, or learning about the business that is going to help you achieve this new lifestyle. If you are religious or spiritual, you need to consider not only going to a church every Sunday, but using the teachings of that religion in your way of life. This usually involves becoming much more humble, open, and respectful of other people. By changing just this one aspect of yourself, you may see doors open that can help you achieve your lifestyle faster than ever before. Finally, you need to envision the financial lifestyle that you want to be accustomed to. Almost every goal that a person can develop in this area has to do with an absence of lack. Simply stated, you will be able to afford all of the things that you want, go on vacations, and provide your children with a lifestyle that will make them the happiest. All of these independent goals work together to help you form what will become your new lifestyle in the future.

You need to see and feel what it is that you want to accomplish, in your mind, and then begin to write everything out.
